CORU Consultation on Continuing Professional Development for Social Care

CORU has undertaken a review of our Continuing Professional Development approach. The outcome from this review is the development of a CPD Guidance Document and CPD Support Document for registrants. The documents draw on the experience of conducting two CPD audits and engagement with a range of stakeholders. This process highlighted that registrants wanted further support and guidance on how to demonstrate their engagement in CPD and achievement of new or enhanced learning.

The Social Care Workers Registration Board CPD Guidance Document provides direction for registrants on the behaviours required to support compliance with the Social Care Workers Registration Board Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics.

The Social Care Workers Registration Board CPD Support Document offers tools that can help registrants to build and demonstrate those behaviours and ultimately meet the CPD requirements under the Social Care Workers Registration Board Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics. The Social Care Workers Registration Board Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics is available on the CORU website.

The Social Care Workers Registration Board would like to invite you to review these documents and provide feedback. This survey will close on 20 January 2020  .

You can access the survey to review the documents and provide feedback via this link.
