Overview for Participant Invitation
This workshop is designed to equip social care practitioners with practical strategies to facilitate the genuine and lasting integration of individuals with diverse needs into typical community life. Personal social integration and valued social participation, or ‘real integration’, is one of the 10 major themes underlying SRV theory, it offers an alternative to the rejection, distanciation, and segregation that are often imposed on devalued people. By heightening consciousness to the common distortions of inclusive practice, focusing on social roles with effective teaching and networking strategies, participants will leave with the tools needed to foster meaningful connections and genuine inclusion in typical community life.
In an ever-evolving social care landscape, this workshop provides a unique opportunity to equip yourself with actionable strategies that promote real integration in community settings. By breaking down barriers and fostering real integration, you can make a tangible difference in the lives of those you support. SRV has a clear definition for what is commonly referred to as integration, so come along to clarify, identify and leverage natural support networks within the community and transform our thinking, and our practice!
