Ag Eisteacht; ABLE training courses in Cork and Dublin.

February 26 @ 9:00 am - March 13 @ 5:00 pm

Ag Eisteacht, a Cork-based charity, is releasing early bird tickets for its 2019, ABLE training courses in Cork and Dublin.

Ag Eisteacht are designed to support Ireland’s frontline health and social care practitioners, Ag Eisteacht’s ABLE training (Adopt a relational approach, Build, Listen and Empower) helps practitioners to build more responsive relationships with their clients.
The evidence-based training also gives them the skills to listen actively and reflectively and to empathise, relate and respond appropriately to individuals, while attending to their own wellbeing. The training is also approved for CPD purposes by SCI, IASW, Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland, Department of Education and Skills, Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery at RCSI, Irish College of General Practitioners

The ABLE courses will run over three dates in Cork and Dublin:
• Cork will be held at Northridge House in Blackrock on 26th February, and 12th and 13th March. Book here
• Dublin series of training session will be held at the Wisdom Centre, Cork St, Dublin 6 on 12th and 28th February and 1st March. Book here.
A limited number of Early Bird places are now available at a reduced rate via Eventbrite.

Dr Maeve Hurley, founder of Ag Eisteacht, said: “It’s understandable if a practitioner feels anxious, overwhelmed or uncertain if a client or patient turns to them for help in times of transition or need. Our ABLE model gives them the framework to use those ‘moments of opportunity’ to empower clients and help them to think about ways in which they might nurture quality relationships in their own lives, build core life skills or reduce stress.
“This can make a big difference to individuals’ long-term health and well-being – and to practitioners’ confidence and ability to support.”
