FREE EVENT FOR SOCIAL CARE WORKERS

The Workers Advisory Group was established in March 2017 under the aegis of Social Care Ireland.  Its members are practicing social care workers and educators. The purpose of the Workers Advisory Group is to:

1.1 provide a forum for discussion and representation for social care workers.

1.2 act as a voice for social care workers both within and beyond Social Care Ireland.

1.3 advocate on matters of relevance to social care workers.

1.4 promote best practice in social care work.

1.5 promote networking and information sharing opportunities for social care workers.

For further information on the Workers Advisory Group 

The WAG will provide peer support/supervision groups to social care workers, particularly those who work in largely isolated arrangements. This new initiative of peer support/supervision  will be held in the National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG) on the evening of  27th February 2020. The time and exact location to be confirmed. This is a free event for social care workers. Each session will be approximately and hour and a half. More details to follow.
