Taking a deeper look at the importance of early diagnosis, early intervention and recognising co-morbid conditions
Aoife Dooley is a freelance illustrator, graphic designer, author and comedian. Aoife openly shares her experiences of being diagnosed with Autism at the age of 27 and how a diagnosis helped her to truly understand herself and overcome mental health difficulties.
Ken Kilbride is CEO of ADHD Ireland. He will share an insight into the high rates of undiagnosed Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in both children and adults in Ireland and the implications for well being and mental health.
Rachel Clancy is a software developer who was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 26. Rachel will share her journey with ADHD and how, despite experiencing the numerous challenges of living with this diagnosis, she is managing to carve a successful career.
John Lonergan is the author of ‘The Governor’. He worked for 42 years in the prison service and was Governor of Mountjoy Prison until his retirement in 2010. During this time John developed a deep understanding of both human nature and Irish society. He will give an insight into the relationship between criminality and mental health difficulties and the importance of early intervention.
