Job Details: Currently seeking to recruit Social Care Workers for a full-time positions and relief social care workers. These posts are providing an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and evolving service committed to quality childcare practices. Ballyowen Meadows is a National Family Assessment and Intervention Service committed to ensuring best outcomes for children. This purpose-built centre provides a unique setting in which children can live with their families in a safe and secure environment while parenting skills are assessed and developed. The family based residential placements at Ballyowen Meadows aim to be preventative in their design, enabling service providers to uniquely address child protection concerns within the family while, at the same time, supporting families to remain connected with each other.
Job Title: Social Care Worker – Full Time Posts and Relief Social Care Workers
Job Location: Ballyowen Meadows, Fonthill Road, Dublin 22, D22 K751
Responsibilities include: Providing the highest standard of care in a supporting and caring environment where all the needs of the Families are met, and they are at the centre of this process.
Criteria:
· Level 7/8 in Applied Social Studies/Social Care.
Or a recognised third level practice qualification; qualifications considered as a related and field are:
· Level 7/8 in Youth and Community Work, Social Work, Social Sciences
· Level 8 in Psychology
· Level 7 in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy
· Level 7 in Counselling
· Level 7/8 in Teaching & Nursing
· Level 7/8 Addiction studies where appropriate
· All applicants must have a full driving license.
All applicants must be Coru registered or have their application submitted.
Desirable:
· Experience in the area of residential care is an advantage.
· Experience working in partnership with vulnerable children and families.
· Essential competencies: communication skills, commitment to providing the highest level of service, openness to change, professionalism, respect for others.
