Garda Vetting Services

The Irish Association of Social Care Managers have been processing Garda Vetting on behalf of companies across the Social Care Sector since 2011. The IASCM Special Interest Group under the auspices of Social Care Ireland, has successfully expanded this service and recently have introduced a robust and comprehensive Affiliate Agreement to ensure confidentiality and compliance under GDPR.

Currently, the IASCM SIG is processing Garda Vetting for in excess of 30 Affiliate organisations with an average turnaround of approximately 10 days.  The cost per application is €10 and this includes processing of Garda Vetting application, answering of queries relating to applications and return of Vetting Disclosures. This service ensures inexpensive, efficient and effective applications for Affiliates of the IASCM, inclusive of a dedicated email address for all and any Garda Vetting correspondence.

All Members are continuously updated with any changes to the procedure through the iascmvetting@gmail.com email address, ensuring comprehensive communication where necessary.

By processing your Garda Vetting applications through the IASCM, you are directly investing in the education and development of Social Care Workers across the whole country as the money generated is used to fund IASCM Members’ benefits, such as our very successful Training Grant Scheme.

By sending your application through the IASCM you are also involved in:

• Supporting the management of Social Care
• Helping Fostering Managers and Leaders in Social Care to collaborate to the benefit of all the people who use our various services.
• Helping support the annual Social Care Ireland Conference, which is attended by over 200 Social Care Workers/Managers/Educators every year
