Charlotte Burke –  CPD Coordinator – Social Care Ireland

Charlotte Burke, CPD Coordinator of Social Care Ireland (SCI) since August 2017. The board is supported by Charlotte, who takes care the day-to-day management of the SCI. Her role also entails organising CPD events, conferences and ensuring the development of SCI, as the professional body representing and supporting the social care work profession in the Republic of Ireland.

Previous to this Charlotte worked in the disability sector, adult services as a social care worker and leader for nearly twenty years.

Charlotte has a degree (Hons) in Social Care and a Masters in Child, Family and Community Studies from TU Dublin Grangegorman.

Charlotte is currently completing a PhD with South East Technological University, her area of interest is the education of ‘residential childcare workers’ and ‘social care workers’ and exploring this historical journey and professional development.

Charlotte’s hobbies are cycling, reading, music, and is an active member of her local salsa dancing club.
