This programme has been endorsed by Social Care Ireland and is deemed to be of a high quality and relevant to social care practice. CBT is an evidence-based approach to working with clients in psychological or emotional distress . This L9 QQI Minor Award is designed to provide learners with theoretical and practical knowledge and skills related to CBT, which can be introduced into their professional practice with clients. This programme is delivered using Blended Learning, combining on-campus teaching inputs with live online classes. The programme includes a 33 hour work placement, which can be completed in the Social Care workers place of employment. Two sessions of external supervision are also required.

Time: Each teaching day is 9:00am-5:00pm (the tutorial day is 9:00am-1:00pm)
Award: Level 9 QQI Minor Award in CBT
Entry Requirements : Applicants must hold a Level 8 Degree in a relevant field. (RPL may be possible for those who do not hold a Level 8).
