Social Care Ireland (SCI) have joined with the Institute of Technology Carlow Extended Campus, to offer a module in Critical Incident Stress Management. This advanced level course will appeal to social care practitioners who have no previous training or CPD activities in this area.
The module consists of primarily online teaching in March between 9.30 am to 5 pm as well as independent study. We hope that the first and final day can take place in person onsite at IT Carlow. Participants can earn 10 ECTS on completion of the course. This is a public programme NFQ level 8. The course is free and requires a deposit of €100. The deposit is refundable on completion of 80% of the course.
An application form is available now for those wishing to apply for a place on the course, the closing date for applications on the 7th February 2022. Applicants will need to secure the support of their employer to release them from work duties on the dates below so that they can participate in the course.
