To co work with Colleagues in the Provision of both One to One and Groupwork Strategies with Adolescents and their Parents/Carers inclusive of Relationship Building and Negotiation between Parents/Carers using diverse venues and modalities.

To work in collaboration with both voluntary and statutory agencies

To deliver an inclusive and enabling family support service encompassing the vision/values and principles of Deansrath Family Centre.

1. To provide an integrated response to the needs of vulnerable young people and their families in order that they can learn new skills to deal with their difficult circumstances whatever that may be.

2. To deliver Adolescent Groupwork Programmes both evidence based and skill development eg. Coderdojo, Allotment, Cooking, Art etc.

3. To deliver Group based Parenting Programmes notably Parents Plus

4. To work within and under the supervision of a Case Allocation, Case Management and Supervision Framework.

5. To contribute and participate in making reasonable and evidence-based decisions regarding case work interventions even if they are difficult.

6. To participate in work practice that is ethnically sensitive and anti-discriminatory

7. To develop an innovative service response to young people experiencing poor mental health, involved in anti-social behaviours, self-harm poor school attendance , negative family/parental relationships etc..

8. To maintain Case files within the agreed DFC Case Filing Framework

9. To compile relevant Case Reports and Documentation

10. To have proficient professional knowledge in relation to best practice in evidence- based family support service provision inclusive of Open Access Group and Individual based supports

 

Essential: Three years plus paid relevant work experience in

· diverse communities including establishing co working relationships with all other statutory and voluntary service providers.

· To have demonstrable ability With Young People experiencing adversity and in planning and delivering interventions in order to achieve positive outcomes

· Demonstration of a flexible, energetic commitment to service provision with young people and families.

· Delivery of Adolescent Groupwork Programmes and Parenting Programmes

 

Level 8 in Social care, Child and Family studies, Addiction , Counselling etc and 3 years paid work experience in the community sector.
