Job Details:

Job Title: Project Worker

Job Location: Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin

· Responsibilities include: To work directly with children, young people, parents / guardians and families to best meet their needs

· To provide one to one support to children, young people and their parents / guardians

· To facilitate group programmes at My Project and in collaboration with other services off site

· To participate in outreach work to engage families and young people at risk

· To provide information and support on issues having a negative impact on the family

· Support parents in their parenting role

· To participate in a mapping of services to support the project in identifying gaps and needs

· To advocate on behalf of the children, young people and families living in the community

· To develop positive working relationships and to actively network with stakeholders, partners and professionals working within the sector

· To carry an individual caseload, facilitate group processes and participate fully as a member of the MyP team

· To carry out other duties as may be requested from time to time

 

Criteria:

Essential:

· Relevant 3rd level qualification

· 3 years relevant work experience

· Experience of engaging and supporting vulnerable children and young people and ensuring their voices are promoted and heard through one to one processes and group programmes

· Experience of working collaboratively within a team and with professionals from relevant agencies in child, family and community services

· An understanding of youth mental health, substance misuse, hidden harm, dual diagnosis, separated families, DVA, homelessness

 

· Desirable:

 

· Training in Addiction, Coaching, Creative Arts

· Training in NVR, Circles of Security or Odyssey Parenting Programmes

· aCRA / SMART Recovery

 

Salary: Point 4/5 HSE Consolidated Pay Scale Oct 2022
