Job Details: Full time permanent posts for Social Care Workers for a residential childcare therapeutic service with three registered houses

Job Title: Primary Activity Therapists and Activity Therapists

Job Location: Mitchelstown

Responsibilities include: The role includes assisting the resident children and young people in the development and implementation of their care programs and occupational pursuits, supporting the young people’s development in both personal and social skills, to be actively involved in the day to day running of the homes and the farm including participation in domestic tasks, undertaking administrative tasks in connection with the daily recording of accurate and concise notes and reports in respect of the young people, attending team meetings, planning meetings and required training

Essential criteria:

Have a recognised qualification in Social Care, Social Pedagogy, Social Education or related discipline (minimum Level 7)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, an openness to discovering a new way of working, a sense of professionalism, an ability to form relationships with children and young people and to be an active and positive participant in the functioning of the team
Full clean driving license, valid in Ireland

Desirable criteria:

Knowledge of Irish Residential Care Standards

Interest in active outdoor pursuits that engage young people
Flexibility in your approach to working
Ability to work effectively with team members and management

Salary: €31,000 – €41,000 (role dependant) + benefits
